Southside Community Partners Workshop: "Filling Board Vacancies"

Event Description

Finding ideal board candidates who are willing and able to make the commitment to be effective board members can be an ongoing challenge for nonprofit leaders.  BoardLink is a free, online tool for matching nonprofit agencies with skilled, interested and available professional volunteers.  Available through the Partnership for Nonprofit Excellence, BoardLink facilitates connections of nonprofit organizations to trained and talented individuals interested in nonprofit board membership.  Learn how to create persuasive online profile that accurately reflects your organization's mission, programs and needs.  This interactive lab session, provides participants with an overview of basic roles and responsibilities of nonprofit boards and strategies for successful recruitment.  Instructed by Ms. Tiffany Harris.

 

Workshop will be held in the Computer Lab inside the Hopewell Library.  Seating limited to 10 participants.
